  1. Excellent Licorice Root 5 Star Review

Posted by on 1st Feb 2015

I have bought other brands of licorice root over the years, e.g. Frontier Herbs, so I know what it is supposed to taste like. I had bought a lb. of Organic India licorice root from another vendor over a year ago, but I was very disappointed in it because it had virtually no licorice flavor; in fact I wondered if it was really licorice root or some filler that a supplier had substituted. But I thought that could have just been a bad batch so I'll give them another chance, and I'm really glad I did. The product I received this time is excellent, with a very distinct licorice flavor.
If you're into Ayurveda, licorice root has the uncommon combination of both sweet and bitter tastes, so it pacifies both Pitta and Vata, which is very good for me and probably why I took a natural liking to it as a child. It is also considered a very Sattvic herb, and good for the brain.

  2. Very Strong Drink 4 Star Review

I was pleased with the shipping. Faster than I expected. I used 1/2 tablespoon per cup of hot water. I found it very strong. I only tried it once as it was so strong. I didn't try 1 teaspoon because I didn't lie the taste of it regardless of its benefits. People should give honest answers, so this is mine. Maybe 1/2 teaspoon might be more tolerable to my taste. This is just a matter of personal taste.
