We are introducing a new and exciting product so you can get all kinds of goodness from a delicious and nutritious jam made from wild forest fruits high in antioxidants and a whole heap of healing herbs. Our 100% organic Chyawanprash (CHAI-en-prah-sh) is made from the original Ayurvedic recipe developed by the sages living in the forests of the Himalayas and is the real deal! It is rejuvenating, energizing and boosts the immune system, and often called “The Elixir of Life.”
Chyawanprash can be spread on wholesome breads or crackers, added to smoothies, or as a healthy snack just eaten right out of the jar with a spoon! Traditionally in India, it is stirred into a warm glass of milk. It is naturally sweet, using mineral rich gur (organic cane juice that has been slowly reduced to a thick syrup, somewhat like maple syrup) and organic honey, and has that authentic taste of the spices of India. Goes great with a cup of Tulsi: Tulsi Original, Tulsi Chai Masala and Tulsi Red Chai.
Chyawanprash is helpful to everyone, regardless of age, by creating harmony in the body and improving metabolism. Well-known as an immunity booster, Chyawanprash also excels as an antioxidant, rejuvenator, and source of energy. With Amla (Eblica officianalis) as a main ingredient, Chyawanprash also serves as a rich source of vitamin C and antioxidants.
Sesame oil is a fantastic superfood. Learn more about why sesame oil has been used in Chyawanprash for thousands of years.
ORGANIC INDIA’s 100% Organic Chyawanprash contains 37 herbs in a sweet base made from gur (organic cane juice reduced to a syrup) honey and ghee (clarified butter). We recommend one teaspoon twice daily for maximum benefits. We use raw honey in our Chyawanprash, which is added after the heating process. Each jar contains 8.8 oz., or approximately 25 servings.
The sage Chyawan is believed to have discovered the formula in the 4th century B.C. According to the principal Ayurvedic text Charaka Samhita (ca. 100 A.D.), Chyawanprash "nourishes the weak, the wounded, the old, and those that are of tender years as well." Using Chyawanprash, “a person acquires intelligence, memory, comeliness of body… longevity, strength of the senses, great pleasure in the companionship with women, great increase in the strength of the digestive fire, improvement of the complexion, and the restoration of wind to its normal course."

This product is consciously and carefully crafted of the finest ingredients. Seems to nourish my tattered and torn, weary and worn body in a way that is at once subtle albeit profound. I find it quite soothing at day's end in a bit of warm grass-fed milk (hope to try it soon in goat milk!).
