Three sacred varieties of Tulsi with potent restorative powers are blended to create this delicious, calming, yet energizing tea with hints of lemon and citrus from Vana Tulsi, the slightly spicy tones of Krishna Tulsi, and the calm depth of Rama Tulsi.
You will need a "tea basket" that inserts into a cup, a "tea ball" or an individual empty "tea bag." Place a tablespoon of Tulsi tea leaves into the tea basket, ball or tea bag, and place in your favorite mug. Bring clean fresh water to boil, and pour boiling water over Tulsi tea leaves in your cup. Cover and let steep for 5 - 10 minutes. Remove tea basket, ball or bag, and enjoy. Use more tea leaves for a stronger flavor and less for a milder flavor, as per your taste. Please note: The stronger the tea, the more potent the benefits.
Use one full tablespoon of tea per cup. Place the tea leaves in your teapot, and pour fresh boiling water over the tea leaves. Let the tea steep for 5 - 10 minutes, and pour through a small strainer directly into the cup. Use more tea for a stronger flavor and less for a milder flavor, as per your taste. Please note: The stronger the tea, the more potent the benefits.
Pour 2 cups of boiling water over 8 teaspoons of tea, cover and add sweetener if desired. Infuse for 20 minutes. Strain and add 2 cups of cold water, and refrigerate. Pour over ice to serve.
Do not use if pregnant or nursing without consulting a physician.

I am a long-time tea and coffee lover, but as much as I love the taste of strong, black coffee, it does not agree with me, and tea causes other problems for me. Starting my day with a cup has been a tradition for me, so finding a substitute was important.
A family member suggested I try Tulsi, which I did and I've not turned back since. I love my morning cup of Tulsi and sometimes an evening cup too!
I prefer the Original to the flavor/blends, and I really appreciate the 100gram canister of loose leaf as it is much more cost effective for me than tea bags. Loading my infuser and brewing my cup is part of the ritual. :)

Don't settle-- this is the good stuff. Green teas like tazo tea and really 99% of other brands fall short. most of the green tea youll find in a grocery store is gonna fall short. this tea is delicious. the taste is full.
i tried some twinning's "gunpowder green tea", let me tell you soemthing. i wouldnt give that tea to my worst enemy after trying this. this tea makes all other tea seem strangely flat. the longer you steep, the better.

I noticed that my review was to be reviewed. I know there are word sensitivities ( why I don't know) and I try not to offend anyone. That being said if my review needs to pass your standards I won't be reviewing anything else I may buy. I will stick to my "if I like it I'll buy it, if I don't I won't" review.

The impact of the tea as I understand it is more of a long term benefit. I will say that I have felt an improvement in my over all well being. I don't have any objections to coffee and don't consider it to be bad (you can abuse anything) I have lowed my coffee consumption since using the tea without it being a goal. I just have not had the urge as often. As I said earlier, as an adaptogen I expect the best results to be long term.

Quitting coffee was a challenge for me because I truly love the taste. But knowing the challenges that coffee can present with daily consumption, I was committed to finding a new morning beverage. Organic India's original tulsi tea helped me transition smoothly from a morning espresso to a cup of tulsi tea lightly sweetened with honey. I liked the little bit of zip that I would get in the mornings from espresso and feared that I would miss that by switching to herbal tea, but I haven't at all. Tulsi gives me a gentle boost in the morning--it wakes me up and gives me mental clarity. Tulsi is now a part of my morning routine!

I love the original tulsi and typically drink at least two cups a day, one when i wake up and one before bed. I find it has a very pleasant taste and aroma, and is both energizing in the morning and relaxing in the evening. There is no stimulant effect as with caffeinated drinks.
I used to be a green tea drinker until I discovered Tulsi!

I had never heard of Tulsi tea before until I stumbled across it on the internet. I did a search for the best Tulsi and landed right here at Organic India. When I first opened the can I thought it smelled like a spice that should go in the spice rack. After I brewed the tea and took a sip, I was hooked. So if you are reading this and curious about it, go ahead and try some. You won't be disappointed.

This is the fullest flavor Holy (Sacred) Basil tea I have tied. I believe I have tried them all! Just opening the can is a burst of delicious aroma. So soothing and satisfying. In the morning, I like to mix it with the Lemon Ginger Tulsi.

I have to say that when I went on a search for holy basil tea, I was skeptical of finding anything good. I was impressed with this tea, though. It has a good flavor, and I like that it is all natural. A good price and fast shipping made for a wonderful product. I will continue to buy here.
