To make our Tulsi Chai Masala, we blend premium Assam tea (famous for its malty, smooth flavor) with freshly ground spices and the finest Tulsi leaves and blossoms. The result is an exquisitely robust, 100% organic tea that is at once soothing and stimulating. Whether enjoyed plain or with milk and sweetener, Tulsi Chai Masala is exotic, satisfying, and stimulating; an excellent alternative to coffee.
You will need a "tea basket" that inserts into a cup, a "tea ball" or an individual empty "tea bag." Place a tablespoon of Tulsi tea leaves into the tea basket, ball or tea bag, and place in your favorite mug. Bring clean fresh water to boil, and pour boiling water over Tulsi tea leaves in your cup. Cover and let steep for 5 - 10 minutes. Remove tea basket, ball or bag, and enjoy. Use more tea leaves for a stronger flavor and less for a milder flavor, as per your taste. Please note: The stronger the tea, the more potent the benefits.
Use one full tablespoon of tea per cup. Place the tea leaves in your teapot, and pour fresh boiling water over the tea leaves. Let the tea steep for 5 - 10 minutes, and pour through a small strainer directly into the cup. Use more tea for a stronger flavor and less for a milder flavor, as per your taste. Please note: The stronger the tea, the more potent the benefits.
Pour 2 cups of boiling water over 8 teaspoons of tea, cover and add sweetener if desired. Infuse for 20 minutes. Strain and add 2 cups of cold water, and refrigerate. Pour over ice to serve.

This tea is not only my personal all-around favorite; it has been liked by everyone with whom I have shared it thus far. It combines the benefits of tulsi with the lift of black tea and a most savoury blend of spices. It warms and soothes and energizes simultaneously.
Thank you, Organic India!

This tea energizes and relaxes me at the same time. It is also warming -- perfect in cold weather, but I enjoy it in the heat of summer too. Everyone to whom I have introduced this particular blend likes it and wants to know where they can get it.

This is what I've been searching for. Thanks to all the previous reviewers who convinced me to give it a try.

Some herbal tea has an aftertaste; this does not. It's a mild tea which I love, but with so much flavor. This is so delicious. I add 1 pack of splenda to sweeten it just a bit with a little bit of cream. It is also good plain.

This tea has a lot of Tulsi in it [3 different varieties] and a lot of spices. It is very low in caffeine, which I like, but that means it doesn't have a lot of black tea in it, which is the main herbal ingredient in regular chai. Most of the flavor in this tea comes from the Tulsi and spices, and it definitely tastes different than a regular black tea chai. Although I prefer the taste of regular chai, this tea tastes pretty good as far as herbal teas go. And of course it has all the health benefits of Tulsi. You can drink it straight, but I prefer to add sugar.

I've been ordering this for years. Absolutely the best, tastiest, spiciest chai tea. I think I've tried everything on the market and this wins, hands down. Delicious and good for you!

I became picky about tea since I discovered that there were more flavorful and refreshing teas than the bagged teas that were available to me as a child. In college I was introduced to spiced tea by recommendation of a professor who was from India. That tea was good but in the ensuing years I managed to lose the recipe and never was able to again create what I had remembered drinking. I had even tried mixing my own spices to make a good blend and although I had tried many of the available Chai's there was always something missing. It seemed that one or another spice would take over the tea and that I couldn't quite get the balance required for a good cup. The kitchen filled with fragrance when I opened the sealed bag. This tea is why some people rave over Chai. I have finally found what I was looking for. I had tried this both hot and iced and would give it a higher rating than the best were the rating available. I believe in organic and I have no doubt that this is the highest quality obtainable. Thank you. You can expect that I will become a repeat customer, with certainty.

I have become used to the benefits of holy basil tea, and then I saw that they have Chai! I love the flavors of a good chai, and they are all here. This lasts a long time and I get so much benefit from it. I would recommend this to anyone.
