Enjoying a matcha-moringa latte is as easy as a simple stir-and-pour, with ready variations to tempt your taste buds year-round. We are equally in love the belly-warming coziness of a frothy hot latte on a chilly day and a cool, iced refresher in the height of summer. For a fruity twist, simply smash or puree a half cup of seasonal fruit—no added sweetener required. Enjoy!
Matcha Moringa Latte: Hot, Iced, or with a Fruity Twist
½ to 1 Teaspoon Matcha (ceremonial grade if possible) ½ to 1 Teaspoon ORGANIC INDIA Moringa powder 1/4 Cup hot water 1 Cup unsweetened plant milk of choice (3/4 for iced) ½ Teaspoon vanilla extract, optional ½ Tablespoon maple or date syrup (or sweetener of choice), optional Ice, if serving cold
First, prepare the matcha-moringa mixture. In a small bowl, spoon or sift in matcha powder. Add the moringa powder and whisk or stir to combine.
Pour in hot water and whisk vigorously with a bamboo whisk or milk frother until dissolved and foamy on top.
If enjoying hot, pour your matcha mixture into a serving mug. In a small saucepan warm plant milk and bringing to a low simmer. Remove from heat and add vanilla and sweetener, if using.
If desired, use a handheld frothier to foam up slightly (or whisk vigorously to froth). Pour warmed, frothed milk over the matcha-moringa mixture in your mug.
If enjoying iced, let matcha-mixture cool to at least room temperature.
When cooled, fill a serving glass with ice. Pour the milk over the ice, then pour the Matcha-moringa mixture over the milk. Add vanilla and sweetener if desired. Stir gently and enjoy!
Add a Fruity Twist:
Puree or smash ½ Cup fresh blueberries or other fruit of choice (we recommend mango or strawberries). If desired, you can simmer in a saucepan over low heat, adding a little water as needed to achieve a smooth, syrupy consistency.
Add the puree or sauce to a serving glass. Fill with ice then top with plant milk.
Last, add the matcha-moringa mixture and lightly stir.
